5K Run

Race begins at 8:10am on Saturday, June, 30, 2012

This Run kicks off the Rhythm & Booms Fireworks Celebration, a one-day event that draws nearly 250,000 spectators to Warner Park each year. The Run to the Rhythm 5K Run  starts and ends in Warner Park on the beautiful Northside of Madison, WI. The course is a "loop" course that starts in Warner Park and continues around the park, through the surrounding neighborhoods and along the shores of Lake Mendota before it loops back towards the finish line.  This scenic course features views of Lake Mendota, tree-canopied streets and easy hills that any runner will appreciate. Spectators will cheer you on as you pass through the neighborhoods and along the lake shore.

NO STROLLERS OR PETS ARE ALLOWED ON THIS COURSE IF YOU HAVE A STROLLER OR PET, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LINE UP WITH THE WALKERSSKATEBOARDS, ROLLERBLADES, ROLLER SKATES OR BICYCLES are not allowed on any course. The 5K Run is a chip-timed event. Runners will have 60 minutes to finish. For security and safety, non-registered runners are not allowed on the course.

Awards and Prizes:
Age Category Awards will be mailed within three weeks of the event. 

  1. The Top 3 Overall Male & Female 5K Winners.
    1st Place Overall Winners will receive a free registration for the 2013 race.
    2nd Place Overall Winners will receive a free registration for the 2013 race.
    3rd Place Overall Winners will receive a free registration for the 2013 race.
     
  2. The top 3 Male and Female Age Category Winners for the 5K  Run.
    1st Place Age Category Winners will receive a $5 registration for the 2013 race.
    2nd Place Age Category Winners will receive a $10 registration for the 2013 race.
    3rd Place Age Category Winners will receive a $15 registration for the 2013 race.

    The Age Categories are as follows:
<15 15-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65-74 75+

* Prizes of free or discounted registrations have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.
